Football: Hundertmark leaves team
Junior Cody Hundertmark has decided to leave the Iowa football team to concentrate on acad
emics, according Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz.
Hundertmark, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive lineman from Humboldt is a fourth-year junior who came to Iowa as a defensive lineman. He was switched to the offensive line in the spring, and was listed as the back-up right guard on the latest depth chart.
Hundertmark played as a true freshman, making two tackles, then redshirted in 2008. He earned his first letter last fall but recorded no stats.
He is the third player to leave the team since practice began in August. The others are junior fullback Wade Leppert and freshman linebacker Austin Gray.
