Iowa State linebacker Mark Carlson registered 20 tackles in a hard-hitting 10-7 victory in 1980. Alex Giffords’ 49-yard field goal in the third quarter provided the winning margin.

56 — Number of passing yards the Hawkeyes held Iowa State quarterback Chris Pedersen, being tackled at left, to in a 29-10 win in 1991.
