Sounds like a bad person spreading rumors to me! You may have some research to back up this is rare but that is what is being reported and you don't personally know the players involved and you weren't there so don't throw the use of steriods around so carelessly.

Judge, I thought you can't cure hepatitis? If not, that sucks for you. But I thought hepatitis only turns your urine brown if you leave it untreated for an extended period of time, not just a common side affect of having it.

Remember this?

The thing is, if this was a result of heavy exercise, you would think it would have shown up MORE back in the day, when football coaches drove their players into cardiac arrest by depriving them of water and forcing them to work out in summer heat. Instead, it seems to be happening in the chemical age, although of course everybody swears up and down they didn't take anything.

Sounds like a bad batch of injectable performance enhancing drugs (ie. steroids). Granted-exercise can cause this, but it is highly unlikely that 12 players all had this happen to them with the workout. Especially since technically coaches are not suppose to be around since it is not spring ball yet. The coaches would be the ones that would push them this hard, for it to naturally happen to 12 players with their own "free-will" team workouts, is not likely.

Extertional rhabdomyolysis is rare to begin with, let alone to 12 players at the same time. They either all ate a toxin, or all injected one into their muscles to cause myonecrosis. It's sad to say, but it is the truth.

Brown urine could also indicate hepatitis, (been there, done that) but I doubt all would get sick at once.

The gazette got some information about this from Jim Poggi's facebook page, he was being hospitalized because after a workout his urine turned brown something to do with kidneys and muscle fibers. Apparently it is from their bodies not responding well to extreme exercising but it is also widely known that it happens when you exercise and are not properly hydrated. this isn't a rumor, you can get it at the gazette online.
