Brian Ferentz named New England’s tight ends coach
Former Iowa offensive lineman Brian Ferentz has been named the tight ends coach for the New England Patriots, according to the National Football Post.
Ferentz, son of Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz, will enter his fourth season with the Patriots and his third on Bill Belichick’s coaching staff.
After serving as a scouting assistant in 2008, Ferentz was named a coaching assistant in 2009. He served as an offensive assistant last season.
Ferentz graduated from City High and played for his father at Iowa from 2001 to 2005. He was on the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad in 2006.
