Lickliter now in the mix at 3 or 4 schools
Former Iowa basketball coach Todd Lickliter is being listed as a head coaching candidate for at least three or four Division I schools.
Scott Powers of ESPN Chicago lists Lickliter as a potential candidate for the Bradley, Loyola (Ill.) and Northern Illinois coaching vacancies.
John Templon of ChicagoNow.com also has Lickliter as a candidate for the Loyola (Ill.) job.
In addition to that, NaplesNews.com reported that Lickliter has applied for the head coaching position at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Lickliter was fired as the Iowa coach last March after compiling a 38-57 record in three seasons on the job.
He coached at Butler the previous six seasons before coming to Iowa and twice led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.
Lickliter, who now resides in Indianapolis, didn’t coach this past season.
