Peterson: Iowa Insight ticket sales up a smidge from 2010
Either Iowa football fans are purchasing Insight Bowl tickets earlier this year, or there’s more interest in the Dec. 30 game against Oklahoma than there was last season when the Hawkeyes defeated Missouri.
Iowa ticket manager Pam Finke said Monday that 6,200 tickets had been purchased from the university’s 11,000-ticket allotment, about 400 more than at a comparative date last year.
Insight Bowl tickets range from $67 to $25.
Last year, a record 53,453 attended the game.
Iowa had around 5,000 unsold tickets last year. Unsold tickets are purchased by the Big Ten Conference, which shares bowl revenue among all 12 teams.
