Ryan Morningstar accepts coaching position at Iowa
Ryan Morningstar said there was one school capable of pulling him away from his assistant coaching position after one season at Wisconsin.
The magnetism of coaching at his alma mater tugged Morningstar, 25, back to Iowa. The two-time all-American said Tuesday he has accepted an assistant coaching position with the Hawkeyes.
“I told (Wisconsin coach) Barry (Davis), ‘There could’ve been a hundred other schools that could’ve come after me, but the one that would make me leave is the University of Iowa,’” Morningstar said.
