Game #1 vs. Northern Illinois: Depth chart

Four freshmen, including running back Greg Garmon, are included on the Iowa football depth chart released Friday afternoon.

The last time that many first-time collegians were on the Hawkeyes’ two-deep roster was 2008 – with place-kicker Trent Mossbrucker, and defensive backs Shaun Prater, Willie Lowe and David Cato.

That team finished the season with a 9-4 record that included a 31-10 victory against South Carolina in the Outback Bowl.

Freshmen listed on the most recent depth chart that will be used for the Sept. 1 opener against Northern Illinois at Soldier Field are Garmon, running back Michael Malloy, cornerback Kevin Buford, and punter Connor Kornbrath.
