Iowa football: Police bust Hyde for loud music
Former Iowa football player Micah Hyde played music too loud for a neighbor’s comfort Sunday morning.
Officers ticketed him for “disorderly conduct” at 2:45 a.m., at his Iowa City apartment after a “loud party” complaint, according to Lt. Bill Campbell of the Iowa City Police Dept.
Campbell said officers’ initial knocks on the apartment door were unanswered.
Hyde, a first-team all-Big Ten Conference selection last season and winner of the coaches’ Defensive Back of the Year Award, has a Jan. 24 court date. It’s a simple misdemeanor, punishable by up to 30 days in jail and $625.
