Iowa women dismantle Missouri State
IOWA CITY, Ia. – The Iowa women’s basketball team ran past Missouri State 97-43 on Wednesday night, posting its highest scoring output since a 98-45 victory against Western Illinois on Dec. 9 of last season.
Kathy Thomas led all scorers with a season-high 15 points off the bench. The 5-foot-6 sophomore hit 6-of-9 from the field, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range.

Bethany Doolittle added 12 points for the Hawkeyes (9-3). The 6-foot-4 sophomore center also grabbed 12 rebounds.
Missouri State hit just 1-of-18 (5.6 percent) from the 3-point arc, and just 12-for-59 (20.7 percent) overall. The Bears made just five field goals in the second half and committed 22 total turnovers. The Hawkeyes held a 48-33 rebounding edge.
Morgan Johnson and Jaime Printy each added 13 points for Iowa, which returns to the court Dec. 28 against Texas.
