NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans are staying busy in free agency, agreeing to terms on a deal with running back Shonn Greene.
The Titans made the announcement Wednesday but did not release terms of the deal. The Tennessean and other outlets say it’s for three-years, $10 million.
Greene, who spent his first four seasons with the New York Jets, scored eight touchdowns in 2012. That’s two fewer than the Titans scored rushing as a team, and they see Greene as a perfect change of pace for Chris Johnson.
The Titans ranked 21st in rushing in 2012 but struggled to convert third downs.
Tennessee also agreed to terms earlier with fullback Quinn Johnson.
The Titans have pushed back a scheduled news conference for late Wednesday afternoon to introduce their new players.
