Ross Pierschbacher of Cedar Falls said he has accepted an invitation to play in the prestigious Under Armour All-American football game in 2014.
Pierschbacher, an Iowa recruit who earned Des Moines Register Elite all-state honors as an offensive lineman last fall, is a junior. He will join some of the nation’s top players in the game.
“It’s pretty cool getting to see those guys face to face,” Pierschbacher said. “That will only make me better.”
Pierschbacher is the third Iowan to play in the game (Marshalltown’s Tyler Kluver, 2013; Cedar Rapids Washington’s Keenan Davis, 2009).
Davis played at Iowa and Kluver is a Hawkeye recruit.
“It’s definitely putting Iowa on the map,” Pierschbacher said. “It’s great to represent our state.”
