Playing Iowa on the Friday after Thanksgiving is just fine with Nebraska coach Bo Pelini.
It appears that will be one rivalry that remains intact after all the Big Ten Conference realignment.
“My first few years, we always used to play Colorado,” Pelini said. “Obviously tradition is very important at Nebraska. We’re used to having kind of a traditional opponent after Thanksgiving.”
The Cornhuskers have won last year’s meeting 13-7, and triumphed 20-7 in 2011.
“I like (playing Iowa) as a coach, and I think our fans like it,” Pelini said. “I think it’s a natural rivalry, I think our fans and Iowa’s fans will enjoy the series.”
