Linebacker Parker Hesse commits to Iowa

[ 0 ] November 26, 2013 |

Parker Hesse’s days of playing quarterback are over, but his chance to play linebacker for the Iowa Hawkeyes is just beginning.

Hesse, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound senior from Waukon High School, confirmed with a text message that he committed to Iowa on Monday. He played quarterback and linebacker in high school, but is expected to play outside linebacker for the Hawkeyes.

Hesse led Waukon to a runner-up finish in the Class 2A playoff this season. He is believed to be the 17th player to commit to Iowa’s 2014 recruiting class, all of whom are high school seniors.

Hesse also plays basketball and competes in track for Waukon High School.
