Cody Sokol, who was part of a three-man race for the starting quarterback position at Iowa this fall, is apparently looking for another place to finish his career.
According to Hawkeye Report, Sokol has indicated that he would visit Louisiana Tech and Ball State. Sokol, who was born in Des Moines, signed with Iowa after two seasons at Scottsdale Community College in Arizona. Sokol enrolled in 2012 for spring semester classes and participated in spring practice.
Iowa media relations director Steve Roe said that Iowa is still finalizing the spring roster, and he has not been informed of any change involving Sokol.
After redshirting at Iowa in 2012, Sokol did not see any action for the Hawkeyes in 2013. Jake Rudock emerged as the starter, and C.J. Beathard was his backup.
