Big and Little Cyclones and Hawkeyes will give the Iowa football fans a weekend doubleheader.

The Iowa High School Athletic Association announced schedules for football teams for the next two seasons today. Among the new rivalries created is a game between Ames and Iowa City High on the eve of the annual Iowa-Iowa State clash.

The City High Little Hawks will host on Sept. 12 this fall. The college game will be played at Kinnick Stadium Sept. 13. The weekend shifts to Sept. 11-12 in Ames in 2015.

There’s another prep-college football doubleheader — Iowa City High will play host to Cedar Falls on Aug. 29, the night before Northern Iowa plays at Kinnick.
