[ 0 ] April 22, 2014 |

The Big Ten Network released its Saturday night football schedule today, and once again, Iowa was deemed not ready for prime time.

Conference newcomer Rutgers was selected for two games, and Maryland has a Nov. 15 matchup with Michigan State.

But the Hawkeyes, who finished 8-5 last season, are not among the teams slated to appear in any of the BTN’s six night games.

They were also passed over when ESPN/ABC released its primetime schedule last week.

Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota and Purdue were also shut out from the ESPN and BTN prime-time slate in conference games in 2014.

BTN night schedule (all times Central):

Sept. 13: Penn State at Rutgers, 7 p.m.

Sept. 27: Cincinnati at Ohio State, 5 p.m.; Illinois at Nebraska 8 p.m.

Oct. 4: Michigan at Rutgers 6 p.m.

Oct. 18: Nebraska at Northwestern, 6:30 p.m.

Nov. 15: Michigan State at Maryland, 7 p.m.
