Aaron White headed to LeBron’s skills academy

The 6-foot-9 forward for the Iowa basketball team has been invited to the LeBron James Skills Academy, which features 30 of the top collegiate players from around the country. The camp will be held next Wednesday through Saturday in Las Vegas.

White expressed his excitement on Twitter on Wednesday.

“Man!!!God is doing amazing things in my life! Got invited to LeBron James Skills Academy in Vegas next week!!!!!” White said.

The players will participate in competitive drills in which specific skills are emphasized and will scrimmage 5-on-5 in the presence of NBA scouts.

White also attended the Kevin Durant Skills Academy last week in Washington, D.C.

A native of Strongsville, Ohio, White has made third-team all-Big Ten in each of the past two seasons. He is the first Hawkeye to have a least 1,300 points, 650 rebounds, 100 steals and 100 assists by his junior season. White enters his senior season ranked 18th on Iowa’s career scoring list with 1,301 points.
