I just checked Scout.com, but did not see him on the Hawk list. What’s your source?
He’s a Hawk!
I confirmed this story.. YES HE’S A HAWK
Here’s a couple of links, looks like he has committed:

Confirmed by the Denver Post as well. This is a nice catch, he is coming out of a school that is regularly producing 5/6 D1 signings every year. The school is a football power and high academic requirements as well, the kid comes from a great family and is an Iowa type kid. Nice job KF and Reese.
I was really hoping for O’Connor but this is a nice runner-up. Focused on Kozan a lot at the Army game. He’s definitely not at the level of some others but still a nice signing. Not real athletic or powerful, more of a scrapper. Kudos to the coaching staff.
Now we need an all out press on Diamond or JJ Redmond, who is currently commited at Rutgers.
I wonder if the late offer and commitment of the 8-man player, Meier, means that Q. Lambert told the Iowa staff he is staying with Rutgers.
Here’s a link verifying Kozan and Meier. Have we ever recruited a player from an 8-man league?
You fellas, just relax…….ol Kevin Kunnert has his sources.
It helps to be a 7 foot, former Hawkeye, NBA veteran…..
don’t you think, Golden ?
GO HAWKS !!
I know Chad Greenway was 8 man FB.
From the 8-man league to the NFL. Nice.
tyler blum played 8-man at walnut. he was part of the ill-fated 2005 class. he had a strong showing in the army high school extravaganza. i thought he might be a real blockbuster after seeing him run down an all star from behind in that game–but it didn’t happen. i think he was hurt some and then faded away.
Believe that Dallas Clark also played 8 man football and was the QB for his team, up in Livermore, IA.
From 8 man FB to the Pro Bowl of the NFL…….so, it would not be a first if Meier goes to that level.
My own personal opinion is that most people get too giddy about recruits. We see some highlight film with some “can’t miss” kid running over, by and through kids that have no business being on the same field with him. Reminds me of a player for Mason City in ’74. Played football, basketball and baseball. Later played for the clones in football (for the life of me I can’t remember his name). I had to guard him in basketall. He was probably about 6′ 5″, 270 at the time and I was 5′ 10, 180. He turned around, put the ball on the floor and went right through me without slowing down. Ref called charging, and he looked around and wondered what had happened. I don’t think he even knew I was there. I had to guard Doug Benscoter in football his junior year (he played tight end for Waverly-Shellrock), that was a lot of fun as well. Point, kids look really good on film when they outclass their high school opponents, thing change in college. I will wait and see how they pan out.
